The 2nd Annual CTE Career Expo will provide students and educators with an interactive career exploration experience connecting classroom learning with high-demand careers, industry professionals, and postsecondary pathways. The event will strengthen collaboration among CTE programs, employers, community partners, and educational institutions while increasing awareness of the skills and preparation needed for future careers. The Career Expo will focus on:
Career Exploration: Provide students with opportunities to explore careers across multiple CTE pathways, including Business, Hospitality, Health Science, Agriculture, and other high-demand industries.
Industry Engagement: Connect students and educators directly with employers and industry professionals to learn about workplace expectations, career opportunities, and emerging workforce needs.
Postsecondary Pathways: Increase awareness of college, technical education, certification, apprenticeship, and other training opportunities connected to CTE programs.
Career Readiness: Help students understand the technical, academic, employability, and professional skills necessary for success in the workplace.
Experiential Learning: Engage students in interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities, career conversations, and industry-based learning experiences.
Educator and Industry Collaboration: Provide CTE educators with opportunities to strengthen employer partnerships and gather current industry information that can inform instruction and program improvement. The Career Expo will expand students’ understanding of available career pathways while strengthening connections among CTE education, postsecondary opportunities, and regional workforce needs.
