This interactive workshop is designed for secondary educators seeking to deepen student engagement and critical thinking through purposeful literacy instruction. Grounded in teacher metacognition, this workshop will examine how making thinking visible – through modeling, strategic questioning, and writing – can enhance students’ ability to analyze, interpret, and respond to complex texts. Educators will leave with adaptable tools and strategies aligned with the science of reading to support students in becoming more independent, strategic readers and writers. This training is designed to prepare teachers with the tools and techniques needed to enhance literacy instruction and boost student outcomes.. Lunch and stipend included.
