Join us for a full-day professional development session from 9 AM to 3 PM, with a stipend and lunch provided. This session focuses on the Science of Reading for 6-12 educators, offering research-based strategies to enhance reading and writing instruction across all content areas. Participants will explore how to incorporate evidence-based practices that align with the Academic Content Standards and the National Reading Panel’s five key components of literacy: phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, vocabulary development, fluency, and comprehension. Through this engaging workshop, educators will gain practical strategies for supporting a diverse range of learners, including emerging readers and writers as well as gifted students. This professional development opportunity is designed to equip teachers with the tools to strengthen literacy skills and improve student outcomes.
