Become a CTE champion and advocate!
This course will be a one-day course offered by Lauren Jones of CCCS (CTE Program Director for Special Populations, Counseling & Middle School, and promoter of Career & Technical Education). Gain a better and deeper understanding of the world of CTE, including scheduling and post-secondary planning strategies.
Lauren will provide a 4 hour (5 hours total with lunch break included) condensed and tailored version of the CTE in Colorado course to licensed School Counselors (in all grade levels) who want to add the endorsement to their repertoire. Special Education teachers who participate may qualify to acquire an ACE credential. However anyone wanting to learn more about CTE to support students is welcome.
Note: EC BOCES will most likely offer a hybrid model for this course, which would allow for Lauren to present, and participants to join via Zoom. If you would prefer to attend at the EC BOCES training room to allow for collaboration amongst your peers and a place to attend without interruption, we will offer that option as well. Please email Mitzi at mitziski@ecboces.org so she can plan lunch for those who would like to attend in Limon.
