9/16/2026 - Fall CTE Coaching Kick-Off: Improvement Plan & Implementation

PRESENTER: Dr. Chris McGilvery, Perkins Coordinator LOCATION: East Central BOCES EastTraining Room DESCRIPTION: This professional development session will kick off the 2026–2027 CTE coaching and Perkins Improvement Plan work. CTE coaches will review the annual coaching timeline, program requirements, and Improvement Plan expectations. Participants will review required surveys and Checkbox Cover Sheets, collaborate with coaches to deploy 1-page micro-strategies via the Digital Vault across CTE pathways, and establish expectations for supporting CTE teachers throughout the year. Coaches will also schedule coaching visits and develop next steps for providing ongoing instructional support focused on strengthening math, reading, and science practices within CTE classrooms. Light lunch will be provided.

9/16/2026 - PD for ALL - Data Collection, Interventions and Differentiation

PRESENTER: Emily Ottinger, Specific Learning Disabilities Specialist, Exceptional Student Services Unit, CDE LOCATION: Over Zoom DESCRIPTION: What are appropriate interventions and what specific data collection requirements are there that will assist you in appropriate differentiated instruction that works for students? Emily will share information on effective and efficient progress monitoring and data collection. Attending this session will give you specific strategies to assist with your day to day instructional practices working with all students with a variety of needs in the classroom. Let’s work together to create inclusive, supportive classrooms for all learners! This training meets the requirements for special education, behavioral health and cultural linguistic development. A $40 stipend will be paid in May for all attendees of this session. You must complete the required steps to be eligible to receive a stipend.
