PRESENTER: Tom Field, University of Nebraska-Lincoln TARGET AUDIENCE: CTE Business & Ag Teachers LOCATION: East Central BOCES West Room DESCRIPTION: The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship program led by Tom Field will facilitate School Based Enterprise/Work-Based Learning training. Teachers will walk away with authentic and engaging entrepreneurial activities to assist CTE programs in building a vision of how a business can create value within a local rural economy. Lunch will be provided both days, so make sure you register for both days so we have enough food and materials.

10/14/2021 - Secondary Literacy Strategies that Help Students with Surface, Deep and Transfer Learning.

PRESENTER: Starr Sackstein LOCATION: Over Zoom DESCRIPTION: In this hour long session, participants will learn one to two engagement strategies and how to apply them for surface, deep and transfer learning. We will also discuss how to embed social and emotional learning into every day instruction without it taking away from class instruction. This session is specifically geared toward secondary teachers of all content areas. Stipends will be paid to those in attendance.
