	om DESCRIPTION: This professional development series delves into the Scienc
	e of Reading for K-5 teachers\, offering research-based strategies to enhan
	ce reading and writing instruction across grades. Participants will explore
	 ways to incorporate evidence-based practices aligned with the Academic Con
	tent Standards and National Reading Panel’s 5 Components of Reading and Wri
	ting: phonemic awareness\, phonological awareness\, vocabulary development\
	, fluency\, and comprehension. During workshops\, participants will uncover
	 strategies for supporting a diverse group of learners\, including emerging
	 readers and writers and gifted and talented students. Between each profess
	ional development session\, instructional coaching opportunities will be av
	ailable\, providing targeted support for classroom implementation of worksh
	op strategies. This professional development and instructional coaching ser
	ies is designed to empower educators to strengthen students’ literacy skill
